I love Episencial Sunny Sunscreen for kids. (I can’t SPELL it, but I love it.) They sent me a bottle to try out last month and I have been LOVING it. This is a mineral suncreen rated 2 by the Cosmetics Database. (That’s a great rating for sunscreen.) Like any mineral sunscreen, it goes on thicker than what you might expect. However, this went on more smoothly than any other mineral brand I’ve bought. It takes some extra rubbing, but it doesn’t have that “toothpaste” consistency you experience with other brands.
I actually love the way it feels on my skin after it’s rubbed in. I use it on my shoulders and arms, and even though it isn’t a super high SPF, it’s worked great. Experts actually recommend avoiding extra high SPF because it encourages you to use less and apply less often. Both are recipes for sunburns!
You can purchase Episencial Sunny Sunscreen at Target, on their website, and from our affiliate Amazon.com.

My husband took our daughter to the Eric Carle museum this weekend (it’s on the campus of my alma mater Hampshire College) and was confused to report that Eric Carle now sells sunscreen. Good thing I remembered that Episencial had licensed his brand!
I’m glad to hear it goes on nicely. I’ll have to get some this summer. The brand has gone through so many iterations and licensing. When they first launched, they had an Anne Geddes license!
