Okay, so I am totally that mom hitting the preschool drop off in nasty sweatpants, flip flops and the tee shirt I slept in. I’m lucky if I remember to brush my hair. And lately, all around blogs and whatnot, I’ve seen woman saying things like, “you can AT LEAST remember to put your lipstick on, there’s no excuse to leave the house looking like you’re in your pajamas.”
I started thinking that that line of thinking is at least sort of right. I mean, seriously. My youngest is almost 18 months old. Do I really have an excuse to keep dressing like I was up all night with a newborn?
Enter So Low Style adjustable rise pants. They’re sort of a hybrid between yoga pants and sweatpants. I heard several moms recommending them. Stefanie at So Low Style sent me a pair of adjustable rise pants in a gorgeous chocolate brown cover to try out. I wasn’t sure about the style when I saw “Jersey Foldover with Ruffle” but the ruffle is so cute and subtle. It’s not cheerleader-ish or overly girly.
Pros
- These wash amazingly well. They retain the color and shape even after I nuke them in my dryer.
- The fabric is thin without being too thin.
- They have a great amount of stretch.
- I love the adjustable rise. I have a long torso and like low-cut pants, but I don’t like them obscenely low. With these, I can adjust the rise so my ass isn’t hanging out when I sit down.
- Great length. I am 5’8″ and they still go to the floor.
- Versatility! With some cute sandals, they’re totally appropriate for shopping, school pick up, the mall. They’re also soft and comfortable enough to work out in and even sleep in.
Cons
- Straight up. They’re expensive. If I wasn’t so impressed by the quality and how well they wash, I’d hesitate to recommend $70 lounge/sweat/yoga pants. But they’re awesome. If you don’t need/want an adjustable rise, the regular rise jersey pants are currently less than $30.
- Some camel toe may occur. I wouldn’t wear these with no panties.
So Low Style carries a buttload of cute clothes. I’m really into the $30 and Under section, featuring some really cute tops and some pants on sale. They also have a kids section with some really cute separates. If I had a daughter I would TOTALLY GET US MATCHING PANTS. Just sayin’

OMG I WANT! My yoga pants are really faded now.. Need to upgrade and these! OMG I LOOOVE THEM!
I am a Lululemon fanatic, and those babies aren’t cheap. I’ll have to give these whirl :) Thanks!
These are SO cute!! I love them! I so want a pair, they look great!
I don’t wear sweats, but I might consider these… especially if they’d help make my ass look like yours does in this picture. Le sigh.
Hi! I was about to order a pair of these but I was curious about the fit. Are they true to size?
One added benefit of these styles (from a mans perspective) is that they make your butt true eye candy for us guys. One more reason to get out of the sweats at the school drop off, think how you’ll make all the drop off Dad’s days!
Their cute and sexy, looking forward to see my darling wearing those.
I think I would have to agree with you Bruce.
I think I might consider this because the color is retained as well as the shape and most especially they have a great amount of stretch.
That is nice.My mom will like it.
This pants won’t only help me to do my work comfortably, but it will also make my behind look attractive once I go outside wearing this fabulous pants. Surely this will be eye catching, gonna buy it.
I am a faithful man, but sometimes I got to swing my head to those who wear this pants, they really look sexy and adds the beauty of a woman.
