Sadly (oh mah uterus) I’m rapidly exiting the baby stage of parenting. My youngest son is 18-months-old. He’s still nursing, but doesn’t use bottles and only likes sippy cups with straws. Earlier this month, the folks at Weil Baby sent us some products to evaluate. Unfortunately, my son couldn’t figure out how to use a normal tip-it-over sippy cup, but I had fun playing with it and comparing it to my experiences with other sippy cups and bottles.
Pros:
I love the shape and color of it. What can I say, I’m a sucker for design.
It really doesn’t leak. While trying to figure it out if he could use it, my son shook it and tossed it. No leaking.
Super easy to clean. No tiny parts. HOORAY.
BPA free. This is a must.
Dr. Weil promotes breastfeeding. I dig this.
Cons:
The 5 oz trainer is pretty small if you have a baby who really guzzles milk. Switch to the 9 oz. drinking cup if your baby drinks a lot in one sitting.
Accessories
While my kids don’t use pacifiers, I got to check out a pair and I loved the all-in-one design. Easy to clean and no gross spit/water trapped in the nipple.
(Also they’re cute.)
