Your Mama Loves Converse One Star at Target

You can’t beat Target when you need a shopping fix. I find myself there almost as much as the grocery store. Their women’s clothing is getting better and better. You’ve probably seen their high-fashion designer lines. Rodarte is in stores now, and Zac Posen is coming up!

Recently I noticed a trend in my closet. So many of the things I buy from Target are from the Converse One Star line. I don’t know when they started carrying it or when I started buying it, but Converse One Star is taking over my wardrobe.

Converse, right? Converse is shoes. Yeah. Somewhere along the line they got into the clothing business and lucky us, because their clothes are well-made and adorable.

Lately, I head straight to the Converse One Star section when I get to the store. I *may* have gone a little bonkers on my last trip there. I left with a couple of bags of stuff. In my defense, in the last two months I’ve put on 15 pounds, perhaps 18 at press time, and I needed some new, non-clingy tops.

I got this adorable tee in my spree. It’s only $14.99 at our affiliate Amazon.com.

I already had a couple of these drapey pocket tees in gray and blue. These tees are practically identical to the $84 Kain label tees, but this tee is only $11.88. I can’t find these anymore in my local Target, but I may just order more colors online. They are that good.

I bought these pants in blue and black. I was amazed to find they are plenty long enough for my 5’11″ self. They look much less dorky than this picture. They are $24.99. There is a $27.99 matching hoodie.

I also got this chambray shirred top. Note the blousy, tummy-concealing action. I got it for $24.99.

Their dresses are adorable, too. I like this one in that chambray fabric. Oh, and this one.

If you haven’t noticed Converse One Star, give it a look the next time you’re at Target. You know you’re totally going tomorrow anyway.
