Your Mama Likes the Hana Pro Flat Iron

The folks at misikko.com provided me with a professional flat iron to review. I have fine, wavy hair and live in humid Florida. Translation? I’ve got a frizzy-ass ‘do.

I often use a flat iron to try to smooth out my hair. The flat iron I was using never did much, but I didn’t know that it got any better. That is, until I tried the Hana professional flat iron.

Hana pro ceramic flat ironThis model of flat iron touts itself as being the only truly affordable, professional, real ceramic flat iron available.

John at misikko.com sent me a 1” model. I was disappointed at first – I’d been using a 2” flat iron and thought that the larger surface area somehow translated into a better iron.

Not so! Hana’s 1” iron did a MUCH better job of actually smoothing out and shining my hair. Plus, you can use it to create wavier/curlier styles – something a larger flat iron can’t do.

The best thing I noticed about the Hana was that it had several heat settings to choose from and it heated up much, much faster than my old iron.

I’d say the biggest negative aspect is that the iron doesn’t sit flat on its own. It comes with a heat-proof rubber mat to lay the iron on. Why not just redesign the iron so it sits by itself and create less waste/product?
