A few weeks ago I shared my love affair with Alice. Alice has free shipping. And I love free shipping more than anything else on the Internet. Almost as much as I hate shopping for groceries with both my kids or at 8:30 pm when I’d rather be drinking.
Starting today, Alice is sticking fun free samples in with select orders they ship. You can end up with free cleanser, free moisturizer, free shaving cream, free floss, free coffee, free cleaners, free shampoo, free conditioner, OR if you’re super lucky you could win a Mac Book or an IPod Touch or something else super cool on orders placed from October 1st to October 31st. Check out the Alice Community Blog for details on the October giveaway thing.
My latest order included a bunch of baby food jars and my favorite deodorant. (I know you were dying to know.)

Dude. I can’t find the $10 card I got at BlogHer. Only the duck. It’s driving me nuts!
How have I never heard of this?? Amazing. Hmmm, what I hate about grocery shopping is the fact that my store has no cart return so you either have to leave it in the middle of the lot or schlep it all the way back inside. Not cool with an 8 month old!
Grrr when the aisle is over crowded and you can’t push your cart through! And generally when the grocery store is insanely busy!!!
Grocery stores mean wandering around trying to shop and keep an eye on babies, while making sure you remember everything on ‘the list’. (If there even is a list.)
LOLLYGAGGERS. I want to get in and get out, not have to wait for you to have a 20 minute conversation in front of pasta or slowly pick up every single tomato before deciding you actually want a container of cherry tomatoes instead.
I hate going to a store and only finding 1/2 of what I need, so then I end up having to go to 2 or 3 different places just to complete my list! I’m a mom of 3 kids, a wife, I have jobs anthings to do, I don’t have time for unstocked shelves!
I actually enjoy most of grocery shopping. What I hate about it is when I’ve made up a menu plan based on store specials and coupons and I find they are out of an advertised special. Yeah, a rain check isn’t going to be real big at the dinner table. Then I have to rethink my menu on the fly and it’s never good.
hate going out, the crowds, dealing with cashiers and coupons needing approval- let me sit home and shop by the inet ordering what I can. Yes I love coupons but sometimes they just are not worth it. I find I buy less, eating less and having control of snack foods then if I do not stockpile just because they have a coupon.
What I hate is having to take all 4 of my kids when I go and then having to wait in a line for over 20 minutes just to check out!
I hate standing on the check out line when the supermarket is crowded.

I hate having to take my 2 kids with me grocery shopping, because my kids like to push the kid sized carts around the store. I always have to pray that there are 2 of them, or one will have an absolute meltdown. Then if I’m lucky that they have 2, I have to make sure that they don’t run over the other customers with the carts.
There is no room to stand in line with carts at the grocery store so every time somebody needs to get by, those with carts have to back up down the row. It’s ridiculous!
I hate navigating the crowds, and steering around people who block the aisles with their carts.
I don’t like touching the shopping carts–I use a shopping cart cover for my toddler AND for my own hands!! But some of the newer shopping carts are too large for my cover and it constantly slips.
I don’t particularly like long check out lines at the grocery store, especially when I have my kids in tow.
Grocery shopping. Depends on if I bring all 6 kids lol. Mostly hate that they don’t carry my chai *sob* but hate having to watch the $$ roll by and get less and less for it. Annoyed by people who don’t pass on the right! lol!
I hate the crowds (I even drive to another store that is less crowded than the one by my house), I dis-like when others feel like it is their right to chime into how I am handling my child (personal pet peeve), and I don’t like the dirty carts. Wow, I sound kinda of mean, I promise I am not so hateful in person.
Mostly I hate when they’re out of ONE ingredient I need for a recipe … after I’ve already walked around and picked up the other 5 things, of course.
I don’t like touching the handles on the grocery push cart. Ick.
I hate grocery shopping because I hate having to surround myself with people. I wish I could order everything off the Net and not worry about my freaking social anxiety.
I get really annoyed when I am looking for something specific, like wheat germ, and I get ‘help’ from a 17 year old employee who really doesn’t care if I find the wheat germ, nor does he know what it is. I also hate the total at the end…it’s always way more than I anticipated.
I hate parking 1500 miles away from the store then needing to lug 20 bags back out to the car.
I don’t like it when there are not enough registers opened even though the long lines are obvious to management.
I hate paying! Also, I hate buying produce, getting it home and finding it spoiled days later.
the thing i hate about grocery shopping is the crowds and the waiting in line! i actually don’t mind shopping for groceries but it is just all the other stuff that goes with it!
i hate grocery shopping when I’m in a hurry or when everyone else is in a hurry and there are a lot of people there!
what I don’t like about grocery shopping is that most cereals are full of sugar & so heavily processed. The healthier I get, the more I have to wean myself off of cereal. But it is so tempting to munch on and such a habit in the AM!
Right now, what I hate about grocery shopping is that I go solo with both kids and there’s no easy way to handle my 7mo and the groceries!
I hate waiting in the long check-out lines.
