I consider myself to be sort of an expert on pumping breastmilk. Not because I’ve studied the process or become certified in any way, but because I pumped four times a day every weekday for almost fifteen months of my life. Let me do the math for you: That’s a lot of pumping.
I recently discovered that I love the Ameda Purely Yours breast pump more than the other well-known brand I’d used the first time around. When Judy from A Mother’s Boutique suggested that I try a Pump-Ease to—well—ease my pumping experience even more, I bought one.
She helped me figure out my size, and I picked a cute retro black and white print.
Now that I’m not pumping at the office, I don’t have as much use for a hands-free pumping device. But as someone who used to use multiple hair ties to rig a hands-free pumping apparatus, I have to tell you that the Pump-Ease is a miracle. If you’re pumping at work, need to be on the phone or you want to be able to (ahem) type while you’re pumping, the Pump-Ease is absolutely worth investing in.
It’s an awesome little band that goes over your nursing bra and fastens in the front. It holds the “honkers” (pump shields) snugly but not too tightly against your chest while you pump.
I found it especially helpful while double pumping with the Purely Yours, since I adjust the speed and suction several times during my pumping sessions to best mimic my son’s nursing patterns.
The fabric has a spandex-y bathing-suit-esque quality to it. It didn’t seem to stretch out or sag for me, and I liked that the bright print made it easier to find when grabbing it out of my pump’s tote bag.
At around $35, this will be worth the effort it saves you. If you only pump occasionally or you only pump one side at a time you may not get enough use out of it. But I highly recommend this as a cute and simple way to go hands free while using a double electric breast pump.

I really need a pump ease because I will be going back to work after only 6 weeks off. I’ll be pumping at least 3 times a day and really would like to avoid using the hair tie trick like I did last time. I use a Medela double pump and love it but need something better to hold it in place.
This looks awesome! I’d choose the snowy leopard!

I need a pump ease because with the next baby I’ll have a toddler and a newborn so I’m sure I’ll need my hands free while pumping to pull a foreign object our of my son’s mouth.

I would love one of these because I am pumping 3 times a day at work. I also have to keep working while doing so, and it would really make it easier. Right now I am pumping one side at a time, and this would free up both my hands! This is an awesome product for a working, breastfeeding mom! :)

I pump exclusively, so 6-7 times a day. It used to be 8, so it is better than before. What would make it even better is pumping hands free! Thanks!

I need a pump ease because I’m having a baby in Feb and will have to return to work once by maternity leave is up. I’ll be pumping at work and anything that will make that easier is a plus
I’m no longer pumping (but EP’d 6 weeks til my daughter – now 10 mos – learned to latch!) so if I win, I will give it to my SIL, who is expecting twins in a few weeks, and will be returning to work when they are 12 weeks old.
So, I’ll let her pick the print, but if I were getting one, I’d pick Galazy Black, because it matches our black/white/pandas nursery (even though I never actually pumped in there – but baby never sleeps there either, so…)
I tweeted it.
I’m following the blog now.

I’m no longer pumping, but really could have used this during my daughter’s first six weeks, when I was pumping exclusively until she learned to latch.
I especially needed to pump hands-free after my partner went back to work and I had to pump / feed / pump /feed all day long.
If I win this, I will give it to my sister-in-law, who is expecting twins next month, and planning to return to work when they are about 3 months old.
Whether she’s pumping at work or at home, she’ll need all the hands she can get!
I would choose the t-bird red fabric.
I sure wish I had this with ds#1. With another little one on the way, I would LOVE to have a T-bird red one!!!

I need a Pump-Ease because I pump at work, and right now I feel like I’m not pumping enough for my baby, but I’m taking too much time to pump as far as getting work done. I’ve been looking for ways to make the whole process more efficient and I think this would help.
very cherry is calling my name!
