I have a confession…
I’m sort of a slob. While I am known to dress up once in a while, I spent more of my time in sweatpants, a cami, and a tank top. And flip flops. Comfort is important to me. Since I work primarily from home, I have the luxury of dressing like a complete scrub. (Unless I’m taking my son to school. Then I try to look like half a scrub instead of a complete scrub.)
As a result of all this scrubbiness, I’m always on the hunt for comfortable sleep bras. Why? Because I wear sleep bras all day long. Sometimes for days at a time. (I wish I was joking.)
Judy at A Mother’s Boutique contacted me on Twitter after she saw me randomly bitching about having a hard time finding nursing bras that fit right. She offered me free help selecting the best bras for my needs, and one of her suggestions for a sleep bra was the Majamas Organic Easy Bra. I bought one and eagerly awaited its arrival.
The Organic Easy Bra has pull-aside cups. I was a little worried they might not expose enough of my breast for my finicky nurser, but the cups were perfect—easily exposing the full breast. The cotton is soft and the bottom band of the bra is nice and wide, keeping it secure. It wears a bit like a sports bra without being as tight or restrictive.
I wear it under tee shirts, but it’s definitely not appropriate for wearing under a low cut shirt or a tank top. (Which makes sense, it’s a sleep bra.) I wear it daily and sleep in it. I find that it offers support without being restrictive, which is important to me.
The bra comes in black and ivory. After a month of washing, the black has faded a little. I find that to be the case with any black cotton. I’m also not the best laundress. (I love that I can wash and dry this bra without worrying about utterly destroying it.)
