Going green isn’t just a trend – it’s becoming an integral part of our everyday lives, even if you use (gasp!) disposable diapers. So it’s nice to see some diaper manufacturers taking small steps to reduce their product’s impact on the environment.
Huggies recently sent me a package of their new Pure and Natural disposable diapers. According to the company, Huggies Pure and Natural:
- Has aloe and Vitamin E
- Includes organic cotton in the outer cover
- Uses less ink for the licensed Winnie the Pooh designs on the cover
- Is hypoallergenic and fragrance free
- Offers the same leak protection of regular Huggies
The diapers were very soft to the touch, and it was nice to not have day-glow colors on the outer cover.
Huggies Pure and Natural work the same as their regular versions, so if you currently use them without problems, the Pure and Natural version will work just fine for you.

What momma doesn’t have diaper stories! Went to New Orleans in April for work and took the family. While I was working good daddy took the kids out for lunch and baby had a horrible BLOWOUT all over the place! New Orleans isn’t known for having clean bathrooms and you can image how fun that one was for DADDY to clean up! I heard about that for the rest of the week! Would love to try these diapers…would make a great alternative to our cloth diapers we use at home…but for when we travel. Thanks! Will RT!

Luckily we didn’t have much blowout when she was an infant from BFing. ..Just a couple of wks ago I had picked her up for a routine change. I noticed my shirt was all wet then the smell hit me. She had the runs. It was just near the edge of the back. Of course the middle part couldn’t be contained. Yuck!

I just had a blowout yesterday! Story of my life. There was a boulder sized poop surrounded by mud. I guess the prunes worked. This my friends, is why I never leave the house!

My best friend just had her first baby and he is a WHOPPER! 9lbs 10 oz. (We fear for #2) he is already grown out of his newborn diapers (which they stocked up on) so now they need new diapers in bigger sizes. If his poops are anything like his size they will need a LOT of diapers! :)

I am gonna be a First time (Very Young 48 year old) Gramma in October! So I am entering for my Little Grandbaby who is too young to type and doesn’t know how to use a computer yet and besides he is NOT born yet and is NOT potty trained! hahah that is why HE needs Huggies Pure and Natural Diapers!! Anyway, I digress.. when My little Grandbaby’s Momma was a Pipsqeak she used to take all her clothes off, even her diaper and although she was only 9 months old, she would say “cold Mommy!” haha

My baby had the worst blowout just the other day. It was all over his back and up to his neck. It also managed to creep around and into his belly button. It was absolutely horrible! The worst part is that when I opened the diaper, there was barely any mess in there!
we went out of town for a graduation and my baby was about 3 months old, he did well for the 3 hour car ride and as I was feeding him in the hotel room i heard the bubbles in his pants. The pooped had gone all the way up his back, he had hardly any in the diaper it was so bad i decided to just throw away the outfit he was wearing vs trying to get the poop out in the hotel room bathroom or bringing it home with us to wash.

Would like the newborn size!! Worst diaper blowout story – I was new Mom of my first baby .. We were going to be away from home all day. I thought I had my diaper bag loaded with all needed items. Ready. My little son, Bobby, had a major major poo poo explosion in the carseat at the furthest point from home. The carseat, his little outfit, and him were a mess. I had packed no extra outfit. And had to use a blanket to line the carseat. Blessings!!

Today we most definitely had one of those crazy blowouts — up her back, out the sides, all over me!
Usually we’re pretty good about containing them — but this was just silly!
I remember one of my daughter’s pooped one day and somehow it made it up into her hair and down inbetween her toes! She was a pooping pro and now she has a little one!

Trying to potty-train my 3 year old. No progress at all.
My son suddenly outgrew his size 2’s. I’ve changed his crib sheet 4 times in 2 days!!
My baby had a terrible diaper blowout last week when we were out shopping. My husband was carrying her in her sling and she had a huge diaper explosion out the side of the sling and onto my husbands shirt. We have now learned to bring along a change of clothes for us as well as the baby.
Need these for my soon to be grandaughter. I’m sure her mom will have to deal with some blow outs but I can just hand her over. The joys of grandmotherhood
I recall my son telling my sister he had to pee while I was in line at a fast food restuarant; she dragged him over to me because he was a “male.” She had no intention of taking him into the female bathroom; sure could tell she was not used to dealing with little children. Ha.

Worst diaper blowout? That’s easy! Road trip + rental car + 6 month old. All the way up the back!!! Just as we parked the car at the restaurant and our relatives who had never met our son, rushed to the car to meet the little man. It took them 2 seconds to say “well just meet you inside.”

Diapers seem to be the theme of my day today…my little guy has gone almost a week with pooping, the pedi and LC both told me this was normal for BF’ed babies and if it got to be longer then a week and half give a call. Well, today we were heading out to the store, all is going well and baby finally decides to poop…to say it was an explosion was an understatment. And I had no extra clothes on me : (
Expecting baby #4 in a month… Daddy will be returning from Afghanistan a couple weeks later!

A six and eighteen month old, both with diarrea and leaking diapers, a truck load of groceries and two messy kids to get up three flights of stairs. A day that didn’t get good for quite a while.
Oh man! Our worse was when our fist baby had such a bad blowout. Hubby was taking care of her and she had such a bad one that she got it all over! I came in the bedroom and asked where the rug was and my hubby said over the fence-with a smile on his face. He had to hose it down!
We have a new baby boy due in August so this would be good to win!
