If you’re a nursing twins mama, or a pregnant twins mom who’s thinking of nursing, you need to invest in a good nursing pillow. Because us nursing twin mamas are few and far between, it’s difficult to find nursing accessories that will fit our twice-as-milky lives.
Enter the EZ-2-Nurse Twins Nursing Pillow. This monstrously sized nursing pillow is designed to allow the nursing mother of twins to feed both babies at once.
The pillow has a buckle-strap that goes around your waist. The back-rest pillow is actually cut out of the main pillow’s waist area so you can store the back part easily when you’re done nursing. The pillow cover has a little pocket to stash your remote control, bottle of water, washcloth, phone, etc.
If you plan to try tandem nursing your twins with this pillow, in my experience it’s difficult, if not impossible, until the babies are bigger with some neck/head control.
My girls were good-sized when they were born: 6lb 13oz and 6lb 1oz. They did lose quite a bit of weight after birth, so they were 6lb 1oz and 5.5lb when we brought them home. Tiny little buggers. I tried using this nursing pillow the first couple of weeks. What a joke. This pillow is just big big big, dwarfing the girls’ helpless little bodies. Plus, without any neck control or body mass, the girls just rolled toward the middle when I tried to tandem nurse.
I gave up on the EZ-2-Nurse and used the My Brest Friend nursing pillow instead. I was able to use it to nurse the babies one at a time, then tandem, for quite a while.
Once the girls got to be in the seven- or eight-pound range and had a bit of neck control, I tried the EZ-2-Nurse again with much more success. I gave up the My Brest Friend (the girls has outgrown it by then anyhow) and have used the EZ-2-Nurse easily since then.
I suppose I can’t say that I love the EZ-2-Nurse; it’s really more of a necessity than anything else. I can say that I think it’ll serve us for quite a while, so the $60-ish price tag is worth it.
On the down side, the pillow cover sucks. It’s a tacky, 100% polyester, which means that the inevitable blow-out-while-nursing will leave a lasting impression. I also accidentally got some nipple cream on the fabric and that permanently stained it too.

This pillow saved me from complete insanity with my twins, and still does. I actually picked up a slightly different model that has a plush removable cover and a waterproof pillow cover underneath. That was KEY because the first early morning feeding in the wee hours almost always results in a milk fountain by one of my twins.
