I only have to tell you one thing to sell you on Method Baby Squeaky Green Hair and Body Wash: If you use it, your baby will smell like marshmallows. No seriously. If you thought that babies couldn’t smell any cuter, just try it and see.
I love Method products for a few different reasons. They are natural and gentle on both skin and the environment. They always smell awesome. They’re affordable. They’re sold at Target
and now, Publix so are easy to find. And they are one of the first companies to make daily-use household products that you don’t want to hide under your sink.
The Squeaky Green’s cute little pod-shaped bottle is cleverly functional in that the top is also a cup, perfect for rinsing, and a pump to expel the wash itself. But also, just look at that little thing. I’m a total sucker for good design, even if the product totally sucks. Which is not the case here.
But back to the marshmallows. Now, you might be wondering, “Why would I want my baby to smell like campfire treats?” and you’re right. Why would you take something that’s like 100% perfect and try to improve it? I was skeptical at first too but I promise you: It’s not too sweet, like sugary, but it’s got this really mellow, sweet smell that makes my baby’s head positively edible. As if it wasn’t already.
The one thing I don’t like about this product is the color and consistency. It’s a strange orangey-yellow and it’s somewhat runny. I don’t want them to add any unnecessary chemicals to make it more like ‘normal’ shampoo, but it takes a little getting used to. I make sure to shake up the bottle really well before I use it to be sure it’s all mixed up well.
I also have the Squeaky Green Baby Lotion that I use after a bath just to make the babe’s skin that much softer, and it has the same marshmallowy scent. Method baby products available almost everywhere now, and they’re cheap. When you see these cute little bottles sitting on the shelf next to the Johnson’s and Johnson’s, I don’t know how you could buy anything else.
